Bloqade Lanes Contributions
Lookahead routing and multi-candidate placement strategies for QuEra's neutral-atom compiler stack.
Open-source compiler contributions
Overview
Bloqade Lanes compiles neutral-atom programs for fixed-lane architectures where atom transport and lane availability directly affect execution cost.
My contributions add future-aware decisions to routing and placement. The routing heuristic considers downstream circuit-stage cost, while the placement strategy preserves several candidate atom-layout trajectories through beam search.
Results
The routing contribution reduced AOD-lane use by up to 30.8% across Gemini benchmarks; the placement study reduced aggregate lane count by 19.0% against the best fully valid baseline.
The placement result is from the PR #660 benchmark study (437 → 354 aggregate lanes across eight families), not a merged upstream feature.
